But I’m big in Japan…

…my agent tells me.

“Exciting news Sweetie! Something’s flamed on the Suntory shoot in Tokyo and they need you there yesterday! Can you be at YVR in….um….forty minutes?”

(Oh that’s just GREAT! *rolls eyes* Naomi’s hit someone again.)

“I’ll courier the tickets to the airport for you, it’s the 1640 to Narita. When you arrive tell the Limo to take you into Meguro. You’ll be staying at The Claska. You are writing all this down aren’t you dear?”

(*groans* If I hadn’t just woken up to the phone ringing and had my own personal assistant/slave I would be, yes.)

“Yoshi is going to want to start shooting as soon as you get into town, so you need to be looking fresh when you get there. They are on panic deadline. And don’t forget your cutlets this time.”

(ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME?? The jetlag is going to be brutal!)

“Did I mention this one’s triple rate?”

(…erm…I’ll be out the door in 15.)

“And you will stay away from that Prada-Meinhoff gang this time, won’t you doll? That isn’t an escapade we want to repeat. You have no Idea what it cost to get those pics out of their clutches.”

(It wasn’t my fau…*bites lip*. *sulky voice* oK!)

(It’s a good thing I keep a standby travel pack ready for scrambles like these.)

(Damn, I could use a latte!)

(*sigh* Better not. Can I go back to sleep now?)

Details and Slurls after the Security Screening.

Hair: “Kawaai-Platinum”. Eat Rice!

Sunglasses: “Bordino”. Kalnins Eyewear

Scarf/Sweater: “Chardonnay”. DE Designs

Gloves/Bangles: “Charcoal Velvet Gloves/Autumn Heather Bangle set”. Argyle

Jeans: “Athena Indigo”. LF (Launa Fauna)

Boots: “Bitch Bootie”. Stiletto Moody

*sighs* Yes I know I featured her Gladiator Sandals in my last post. What can I say? It’s her month.

Vinyl Bag: “Vinyl Bag Set”. The Spica Store

Leather Bag: “Gordie”. Armidi

Leather Ottomans from: “Interior Loft Sets. Black and Crazy Green” Abiss Interior Design

A note on price and quality.

Some of the items in this lineup are priced considerably higher than is the norm in SL. Notably the Kalnins sunglasses, the Stiletto Moody Boots, and the furniture sets from Abiss. That said however, I must also say the quality of work in these items is stunningly good. The Kalnins come with a great set of configurable commands and gadgets. The Moody boots are also configurable in many ways. The Abiss furniture is among the best modern furniture I have seen in SL and comes from an exceptionally well laid out and visually pleasing store.

I also should special mention the vinyl bag from Spica. It sells as a two pack, one blue and one pink, for a giveaway price of 70L. It is delightful.

    @ Sans
Thanks Sans, from someone as involved in fashion as you, that is very high praise! <3<3

  9. I’ve been quietly loving all over your work since your first post. The stories you paint with your words are even better than the styling. Watch out for Japanese customs though – I hear they like any excuse to give a cavity search.

  10. Went to Kalnins, was kind of disappointed. I really don’t like the texture glasses, and what they want for the scripted ones is criminal. I’d rather have true 3d glasses from PrimOptics or Vintage Wear. oh well, still a really great post and love this blog. πŸ™‚

  11. @Winter
Hee, Japanese Customs were most respectful. I think my height was an advantage. They seem quite awed by tall slender platinum blondes from the West. Go figure. πŸ™‚
(Nice to have you as a Flickr contact. Love your pics!)

    @aisurieoko
I do know what you mean about the prices. I thought them high myself. Sadly this seems to be something of a trend in SL. Thanks for the kind comment and the tip. I will be checking out PO and VW soon. πŸ™‚

  12. I love PrimOptics, that’s where all my glasses come from!

Oh and Gradeh, Vintage Wear is the place I was trying to remember the name of to tell you about the other day! Yay! πŸ˜€

  13. heh bebbeh, Cupcake Pirate FTW. lulz
Will be checking out both over the weekend. πŸ™‚

  14. I love the hair! and the high fashion, who would have thunk it?..great story! πŸ™‚
